Requirements

  • 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history
  • Local day trips making deliveries
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Data Entry experience preferred
  • Indysoft experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Enter appropriate data in the proper computer system.
  • Determine method of shipment that complies with established policies and procedures and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with Freight Company for shipments too large for parcel pickup.
  • Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Assemble and/or select reassembled containers.
  • Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, report damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Distribute items to the appropriate individual and/or area.
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet customer requirements.
