About The Position

JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a full-time Shipping / Receiving Clerk to support Picatinny Arsenal, LRC Maintenance, Supply, and Transportation services that support the installation’s mission. The core hours for the LRC are 0700-1530 Monday-Friday/ except federal holidays. May be required to work outside of core hours as required.

Requirements

  • Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
  • Experience in loading and unloading a truck.
  • Ability to use a manual and/or electric jack, a dolly, an appliance mover, or a hand cart.
  • Must have a minimum high school diploma / GED or equivalent relevant experience of 3 plus years.
  • Able to pass a background investigation/drug screen.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Be a citizen of the U.S.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess knowledge and ability to perform simple arithmetic.
  • Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Possess excellent ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Possess the ability to work with minimal Government oversight.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents.
  • Ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles.
  • Preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
  • Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records.
  • Checking for damaged goods.
  • Ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment.
  • Preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  • Sort and deliver incoming tubs of RRB claim folders from the Federal Records Center (FRC) to a variety of locations within the RRB headquarters facility.
  • Perform the internal pick-up and staging of outgoing tubs of RRB claim folders for external pick-up and shipment to FRC.
  • Provide receipt and proper delivery of incoming packages from various delivery service carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
  • Unload and load delivery trucks using either electric or hand jacks or appliance movers.
  • Pull stock requisitions (supplies and forms) and deliver them to the appropriate RRB organizations in the headquarters facility.
  • Pick, pack, and label outgoing stock requisitions to be shipped to RRB District (Field) Offices using the RRB’s overnight/ ground delivery service contract.
  • Perform other related duties, including but not limited to moving chairs, cabinets, or other furniture items as necessary.
  • Report all privacy information as defined by the RRB Chief Privacy Officer; he or she shall immediately contact the COR and report this occurrence by (Section IV) for statutory requirements to safeguard privacy information during the performance of contract duties as described above.
  • Responsible for the accurate, timely, and secure pick-up and delivery of all RRB claim folder tubs, the receipt, and logging.
  • Responsible for delivery of all incoming Courier packages (or packages from similar carriers) to the appropriate person or agency organization.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading delivery trucks either at the dock or curbside, when necessary.
