About The Position

This role involves the shipping and receiving of large machinery and material handling equipment, primarily using a forklift. Responsibilities include conducting receiving inspections of parts, components, and assemblies, maintaining stock inventories, and issuing stock and inventory items to shop floor employees. The position also requires managing part stock and specialty component inventory.

Requirements

• Forklift experience loading and unloading large machinery.
• Basic math skills for calculations related to wood-building and quality checks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing standards, regulations, and inventory control experience.
• Strong mechanical skills with the use of power tools (Magnetic drill, taps, drills, hand grinders, tape measure, etc.).
• Hand tool use (hammer, nail gun, and wood saw).
• General knowledge of fabrication prints (build drawings).

Responsibilities

• Building elevated or custom pallets/skids from wood for daily shipments.
• Shipping large material handling equipment and components with forklifts, including loading/unloading flatbed trailers for inbound/outbound shipments.
• Maintaining part component orders and inventory stock items for shop floor use or shipment to vendors for builds, including fasteners and fittings.
• General housekeeping of the work area.
• Cleaning finished goods for shipping.
• Transporting steel and assemblies using forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Cleaning components for painting.
• Performing receiving inspections of parts and assemblies, comparing PO vs packing list.
