About The Position
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for supporting inventory and property management operations for the HETL laboratory and stockrooms. This role ensures accurate receipt, storage, tracking, distribution, and disposal of inventory while maintaining data integrity and operational efficiency. The position plays a key role in ensuring inventory is properly managed and readily available to support laboratory needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (including phone etiquette)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Experience handling payments (cash, check, credit card) preferred
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming inventory against specifications; accept or reject shipments accordingly
- Package, distribute, and coordinate delivery of inventory and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory control systems
- Assist with storage, transport, and organization of materials and supplies
- Support inventory audits and accuracy checks
- Evaluate sample inventory as needed to ensure quality standards are met
- Recommend improvements to storage methods and inventory processes
- Process cash, check, and credit card payments when required
- Provide responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders
