About The Position

Each year Scholastic Book Fairs, in partnership with schools across the country, hosts more than 127,000 book-sale events that give more than 35 million students and their families access to thousands of affordable and educational products, helping foster a lifelong love of reading. We are currently in search for a Shipping / Receiving Coordinator with Power Equipment Operator experience in our West Chester location. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working at significant heights as the primary piece of equipment is the Order Picker. This is a safety sensitive position and Power Equipment Operators must pass a drug test before they are authorized to operate equipment in a Scholastic facility.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
Trained and licensed to operate power equipment.
Minimum 1 year power equipment operation experience (for non-internal promotions).
Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency effectively with minimal errors.
Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.
Good verbal/written communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

Operate the Order Picker at significant heights.
