Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, yard management, or warehouse operations
- Proven track record of high accuracy in inventory counts, shipping paperwork, and data entry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, yard crews, carriers, and office staff.
- Comfortable utilizing inventory/shipping management software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and digital logs.
- Commitment to working safely in an active manufacturing and yard environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with rail shipments/demurrage is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming shipments, verify documentation against physical counts, and ensure accurate receiving records.
- Coordinate, schedule, and order trucks and rail cars for outgoing shipments. Prepare all necessary shipping manifests and paperwork.
- Ensure all customer-specific shipping requirements are fulfilled. Maintain outbound photo logs and documentation to verify order correctness.
- Monitor rail car movement and document/track demurrage reasons to optimize logistics efficiency.
- Consolidate paperwork from the yard, promptly enter data into internal systems, and distribute records to the appropriate personnel.
- Actively participate in and support the facility’s safety culture, following all plant protocols and procedures.
- Perform other related logistics and administrative duties as needed to support plant operations.
