About The Position
This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant documentation and specifications. The clerk will handle the counting, weighing, and measuring of items, verify shipment details against orders, and address any discrepancies or damages.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Computer literate.
- Great communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify information against invoices, orders, and other records.
- Determine method of shipment.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications.
- Maintain a clear and thorough record of all shipments.
