About The Position

This is a full-time, 2nd shift position (Monday – Friday; 2pm- 10:30pm) reporting to the Department Supervisor. The role involves receiving and unloading incoming materials, verifying shipment accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders, and processing return shipments. Responsibilities include sorting, counting, packaging, labeling, insuring, unpacking, and logging inventory. The position also requires inspecting shipments for damages or defects, recording discrepancies, and notifying the supervisor or purchasing personnel. Operation of a dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift may be required for loading and unloading supplies and equipment. The role adheres to established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, and safety standards. Key traits for this role include reliability, time management, self-motivation, ability to work under pressure, and responsibility.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Required
  • Forklift Experience (sit-down preferred) - 1 year

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
  • Processes return shipments from customers.
  • Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
  • Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
  • May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
