About The Position

9 Mothers builds hardware in Austin, TX, and the Shipping & Receiving Clerk serves as the single point of contact for everything entering or leaving the building. The role owns receiving end to end, including each package, its packing list, and the handoff to the person expecting it. No prior experience is required; reliability and attention to detail are essential because misplaced or incorrectly logged shipments can delay coworkers.

Requirements

Be reliable and punctual, and ensure deliveries are not missed.
Check quantities and part numbers against packing lists and address discrepancies.
Be organized and have basic computer skills, such as using email, spreadsheets, or an inventory/receiving system.
Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Be able to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lb.

Prior receiving, shipping, warehouse, or inventory experience.

Responsibilities

Receive every delivery to the building and check it against its packing list.
Log each shipment in the receiving system and keep packing lists filed and traceable.
Organize incoming packages so they can be found quickly.
Notify recipients when their items arrive and hand the items off to them.
Package and label outbound shipments, drive them to the carrier, and confirm they have been sent.
Keep the receiving area clean and orderly.
