About The Position

We are looking for a full time, experienced shipping/receiving clerk to maintain consistent and even workflow through the shipping, receiving and production departments. This role involves working closely with shift supervisors and managers, purchasing and scheduling to ensure inventory accuracy. The clerk will acquire necessary supplies, equipment, and materials needed for department functionality, and solve issues and problems with internal and external customers, providing successful, quality, and timely results. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, scheduling truck shipments, processing orders through the system, and applying shipping labels to boxes in a timely manner to meet delivery carriers’ pickup times. The clerk will also learn and become proficient in all department equipment and software (including MAS200, MS Office, UPS). Data entry and Haz Mat knowledge is a plus. A strong working knowledge of workflow through all departments, with particular understanding of standardized routing procedures for orders moving through the company, is essential. The role involves working in a team environment to propose and implement process and resource improvements related to department activities and maintaining awareness of customer needs and direction. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with shift Supervisors and Managers, purchasing and scheduling to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Acquiring necessary supplies, equipment and materials needed for department functionality
  • Solving issues and problems with internal and external customers providing successful, quality and timely results
  • Loading and unloading trucks and is responsible to schedule truck shipments as needed
  • Ensures and confirm that all orders scheduled to ship are in the Production Department and are all appropriately located
  • Process orders through the system and apply shipping labels to boxes in a timely manner in order to meet delivery carriers’ pickup times
  • Learns and becomes proficient in all department equipment and software (including MAS200, MS Office, UPS)
  • Data entry and Haz Mat is a plus
