About The Position

PCSI is looking for a Shipping Receiving Clerk at Edwards AFB! A Shipping Receiving Clerk Perform shipping, receiving, warehousing, and property turn-in duties in accordance with established guidelines, directives, and required timeframes. This position will report to the project manager and is based at Edwards AFB. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Business/Logistics or a related field required, or the equivalent combination of formal training and related work experience.
  • Proficiency with word processing, integrated software applications, supply systems, and related hardware/software, including SATS, SBSS, FEDLOG, SNUD, and CAMS as required.
  • Ability to review, validate, monitor, coordinate, and update reports, listings, requisitions, supply records, and asset status information.
  • Ability to follow established directives, meet required timeframes, identify discrepancies, and seek guidance for non-routine tasks.
  • Ability to coordinate material movement, property transfers, and transportation needs with supervisors, departments, customers, and coworkers.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, power trucks, light and medium trucks, and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required.
  • Ability to assist and communicate with others as needed and establish effective working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with CORs regarding Materiel Management functions of the PWS.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
  • Ability to pass criminal, financial, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Ability to be insured as an authorized driver for the Company.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • Must qualify for and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping, receiving, warehousing, and property turn-in duties in accordance with established guidelines, directives, and required timeframes.
  • Verify outgoing shipments by comparing items and quantities against required documentation; package, label, load, and prepare shipment records such as manifests, bills of lading, and related documents.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments and turn-ins; check for damage, reconcile items against supporting documentation, route materials to the appropriate department, and maintain accurate receiving records.
  • Process 2-Level Maintenance and Lean Logistics Due-In-From-Maintenance (DIFM) assets, deficiency report assets, maintenance turn-around transactions, local manufacture requests, and Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) shipments in accordance with applicable directives.
  • Monitor, validate, and update asset, requisition, and supply status using applicable reports, listings, and systems, including DIFM, Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO), Time Change (TOC), critical item, and supply point records.
  • Requisition applicable assets, update requisition status as needed, report TCTO requisition status, and coordinate with supervisors or departments to support production schedules and material movement.
  • Operate supply points and manage supply point assets in accordance with established procedures and applicable reporting requirements.
  • Pick up, deliver, transport, warehouse, and transfer property and materials using light or medium trucks, hand trucks, forklifts, and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE), ensuring property is released only to authorized personnel.
  • Maintain documents, files, reports, listings, and supply records; review and validate data to support accurate tracking, monitoring, and status updates.
  • Perform general warehousing and housekeeping duties, including moving materials between departments, supporting repair and assembly coordination, and processing property turn-ins as required.
  • Receive direction for non-routine tasks and work independently within the assigned area as needed.
  • Train customers or coworkers, provide proficiency training, evaluate trainee progress, and attend related meetings as necessary.
