Shipping & Receiving Clerk (M-F day shift)
About The Position
Work in a clean, climate-controlled environment where your contributions make a difference every day. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our operations team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely movement of products and handle shipments and inventory with precision while ensuring adherence to defined quality standards and Zirc documented processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, efficient, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and teamwork are key. This is a full-time role with a working schedule of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, with a starting pay of $18.00-19.00 an hour DOE.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ years old
- Working towards or have received a High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to stand for a good length of time
- Ability to climb a ladder up and down while holding boxes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to count, read, and distinguish colors
Nice To Haves
- Experience in shipping and receiving and/or the manufacturing industry
- Forklift certified
Responsibilities
- Pull and pack orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Use scales and other measurement devices to weigh packages.
- Operate stocking equipment (once certified), such as a forklift or cherry picker, when needed.
- Perform and document weekly equipment inspections.
- Load/unload shipping trucks and semi-trucks with product.
- Read work orders and stock product per instructions.
- Accurately count inventory at the end of each month.
- Process domestic and international orders for UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other shipping vendors.
- Communicate with key partners, vendors, and colleagues across the organization as needed.
- Ensure that receiving from other departments and vendors purchasing is done daily per procedures including physical handling, putting away, and rotating stock.
- Recognize nonconforming products and services, initiating actions to prevent occurrence.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform other related misc. tasks/duties as assigned or required.
