About The Position

This role is responsible for performing various warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and ensuring safety and company standards are followed. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational skills. The clerk will handle documentation, coordinate shipments, manage inventory, and assist with customer requests.

Requirements

  • Computer skills: knowledge of Sage, Microsoft Excel and Word software and online shipping procedures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Customer service oriented and skilled in positively resolving customer concerns.

  • Must be dependable and have strong work ethic.
  • Positive approach to change.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating a forklift, certification is a plus.
  • GMP experience a plus.
  • Paperwork demands attention to detail; computer proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety procedures and perform all tasks safely, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain the warehouse and dock areas in a safe, orderly, and clean condition.
  • Fill common carrier orders and follow delivery schedules for loading.
  • Complete shipping documents and receipts in Sage/Scanforce.
  • Stage and organize materials and ingredients.
  • Schedule daily customer shipments, follow up with carriers, and communicate with customer service.
  • Send daily shipment log and scanned BOLs to customer service.
  • Prepare finished products for shipment, load trailers according to procedure, and complete loading paperwork.
  • Coordinate bills of lading/pick tickets for deliveries.
  • Assist in handling customer emergency requests for product or late shipments during off-hours.
  • Complete shipping documentation for order revisions to ensure customer service accuracy.
  • Document, inspect, and unload inbound products and materials per written procedures.
  • Count physical inventory and conduct cycle counts of all material stored in the warehouse.
  • Receive incoming materials and miscellaneous purchase orders, notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Obtain certification on numerous types of forklifts and fork trucks or be willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
  • Receive and track quality holds.
  • Submit purchase requests to Purchasing for inventory managed by the warehouse.
  • Assist in Production Operations when needed and complete special projects as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • Count, repack, or repalletize product when necessary.
  • Add additional customer-specific labels as required.
  • Handle and store products carefully and properly.
