About The Position

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for logging all shipments, greeting, and signing guests in to the facility. This role will receive all inbound manifests to ensure acceptability, accuracy, container quantity and will confirm the shipping description, profile information and logging of all outbound shipments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 2+ years of office experience with data entry (required)
• Intermediate skill level to properly utilize Excel, Word and Outlook applications
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience within the transportation industry or shipping and receiving (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Coordinates all traffic into the facility; greets and signs guests in to ensure proper recordkeeping
• Engages with drivers and facility visitors on a daily basis and promotes positive working relationships
• Evaluates manifests (shipping documents) upon arrival and scans them into Company system(s)
• Partners with facility personnel to coordinate all truck movements
• Reviews and logs all inbound and outbound shipments and associated documentation
• Communicates with clerical leaders and Customer Experience representatives regarding profile issues
• Maintains various logbooks (Outbound log for liquids, solids, residual material on returning outbound shipments, visitors and contractors, etc.)
• Completes troubleshooting/editing for data logs and manifests as needed
• Completes office-related tasks including typing, answering phones and filing
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
