Mixing Center Shipping/Receiving Clerk. As a Mixing Center Shipping/Receiving Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of inbound and outbound shipments while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting on-time delivery performance, and upholding safety, quality, and food safety standards. Your work will help keep operations running smoothly and support service commitments to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clerk role within a WMS warehouse environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with associates, customers, carriers, drivers, vendors, and visitors.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to sit continuously and stand, walk, stoop, and kneel frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JDA RedPrairie Warehouse Management System.
  • Previous experience in food, beverage, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
  • Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and shipment scheduling processes.
  • Experience supporting KPI-driven warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with GMP, food safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation according to customer and company requirements.
  • Monitor facility gates and check in all inbound shipments and visitors.
  • Verify scheduled appointments and complete inbound receiving paperwork.
  • Assign dock doors to maximize efficiency and minimize travel for loaders.
  • Review completed outbound paperwork before shipment dispatch.
  • Audit inbound and outbound documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Schedule and communicate deliveries and shipments with third-party warehouses.
  • Partner with internal teams, carriers, customers, and vendors to support on-time delivery and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound appointments through warehouse systems, email, and phone communication.
  • Prioritize inbound unloading activities to support fill-rate goals and minimize shortages.
  • Support departmental KPI achievement and operational objectives.
  • Ensure outbound shipments are properly dispatched and all required documentation is accurately filed.
  • Maintain daily filing and storage of paperwork in accordance with company and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with taskers and operations teams to adjust priorities based on changing schedules and production demands.
  • Apply seals to all trucks arriving at the facility.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, food safety, and site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
