This position is responsible for accurately entering purchase orders into the computer system, verifying shipping paperwork, preparing parts for shipping, loading and unloading parts off trucks, and placing them in the proper area. The role involves communicating with internal customers regarding purchase order status, performing filing duties, operating Microsoft Office Software, preparing UPS shipments, and preparing parts for shipping by shrink wrapping or banding. The clerk will also verify shipping paperwork, tag and check in received parts, prepare and check packing slips, and identify non-conforming parts or packages according to QS-9000 standards. Additionally, the role requires driving and operating forklifts, loading/unloading trucks, verifying correct paperwork before moving parts and on stored materials, and maintaining a neat and organized dock area and warehouse. The position may involve contact with hazardous chemicals and requires proper disposal of waste. Any other tasks as required to fulfill Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers may also be assigned.
