About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk provides essential daily support to warehouse operations by assisting with order fulfillment, inventory organization, and general warehouse maintenance. This is a part-time, entry-level role ideal for a high school student or individual seeking hands-on work experience. This position is structured as a short afternoon shift—well-suited for individuals with school or other daytime commitments—and is ideal for someone who is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while contributing to an efficient and organized warehouse environment.

Requirements

High school student or high school diploma/GED preferred
Previous warehouse or labor experience is helpful but not required
Willingness to learn and take direction is essential
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong reliability and consistent attendance
Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to organize and prioritize basic tasks

Responsibilities

Fills and prepares orders accurately and efficiently for internal distribution
Stocks shelves and organize inventory to maintain an orderly warehouse
Moves freight and materials throughout the warehouse as needed
Breaks down and disposes of cardboard boxes and packing materials
Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assists with general warehouse tasks to support daily operations
Demonstrates a consistently professional, respectful, and constructive attitude in all interactions. Fosters a positive, team-oriented work environment by building trust, encouraging collaboration, and communicating effectively with team members, clients, and leadership.
Refrains from gossip and other behaviors that undermine team cohesion or workplace morale. The ability to work cooperatively, adapt to feedback, and contribute to a culture of mutual respect is essential to this role. Failure to maintain professional conduct or to work effectively with others may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
Maintains regular, reliable, and punctual attendance as an essential function of this position. Consistent attendance is critical to operational effectiveness and team support. Employees are expected to comply with all attendance policies, including procedures for requesting and documenting leave. Failure to meet attendance expectations—without approved leave or reasonable accommodation—may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
