The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm Due to the nature of our business and a heavy industrial market, Bodycote deems this position to be safety-sensitive. Summary: Based in Eden Prairie, MN the Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform essential job functions associated with heat treatment under the direction of the Customer Service Manager to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.

Requirements

  • Must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year experience in computer applications including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software programs related to function.
  • Must be Fluent in English
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
  • Must have forklift experience
  • Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.

Nice To Haves

  • Some shipping experience desired.
  • Experince using UPS and FedEx Software.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains shipping and receiving area as needed.
  • Assists with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Schedules truck shipments, UPS, and FedEx as needed.
  • Interacts with customers as needed to clarify or communicate discrepancies and schedules.
  • Inspects and records incoming and outgoing orders for count, damage, dates, etc.
  • Brings any irregularities or other discrepancies/concerns to supervisor immediately.
  • Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.
  • This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and as such will perform duties in a safe and responsible manner to prevent customer loss or damage.
