About The Position

Reporting to the Inspection Supervisor and Quality Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will use predetermined methods, operations, and established specifications to perform and complete shipping of products such as engine components, equipment, calibrated instruments, and company-wide consumables. This role involves unloading packages from incoming trucks, inspecting contents to ensure they are received in proper condition, and verifying packages against orders and invoices for quantity, quality, and price. The clerk will also assume responsibility for returning shipments or receiving replacements when applicable, labeling deliveries, allocating them to their designated place, and handling interoffice package distribution. A key part of the role includes maintaining accurate records, assisting in inventory control, and adhering to all safety standards, AS9100, and other quality standards. The position also requires cross-training in other areas and duties within the department.

Requirements

  • Outstanding organization skills, detail orientation, time management, and communication skills
  • Basic computer navigation and data entry skills
  • Ability to organize, verify, and schedule outgoing shipments
  • Accurate and competent use of all equipment related to shipping and receiving
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and work in fast paced environment
  • Familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
  • Participate in cross-training efforts interacting with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to perform overtime when necessary, including weekends when required
  • Ability to obtain fork lift certification
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Must be able to write and document information clearly in English
  • Must have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent - Documentation Required
  • Must meet ITAR definition of US Person(s)- Documentation Required
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards
  • Successful results of pre-employment drug testing will be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operator certification preferred
  • Familiarity with MPCS is a plus
  • Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus

Responsibilities
