About The Position

Performs a wide variety of tasks involved in shipping and/or receiving materials, supplies, and equipment. The role is based at Benchmark’s Winona, Minnesota location and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a safety-sensitive position. The compensation range is $17.83 to $23.74 USD. Benchmark offers a comprehensive benefits package, with benefits based on scheduled hours. The posting remains open until filled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of shipping or receiving experience in materials or a warehouse.
• Strong component identification ability and ability to follow the approved vendor list (AVL) within the company system.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and take on additional responsibilities as required.
• Effective organization and prioritization skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company.
• Ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Unpack incoming items, verify goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintain receipt records, and reject unsatisfactory items when necessary.
• Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped, post weights and shipping charges, and prepare goods for shipment.
• Count and pack products of various sizes in boxes, cartons, or other containers, checking material against packing lists to ensure all component parts are included.
• Assemble boxes and cartons and prepare special or non-standard packs when needed.
• Follow instructions for selecting cartons, wrapping and arranging parts, and using dunnage.
• Apply the correct label, stamp, or other identification and secure packages using the specified closure.
• Assist in training entry-level employees when needed.
• Operate a forklift when needed.
• Process receipt and shipment inputs in the ERP system.
• Maintain dock security.
• Ensure the quality of work to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
• Participate in a continuous improvement activity.
• Work overtime when required.
