About The Position

Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Warehouse Associate | Forklift Operator at Avtec Finishing in New Hope, Minnesota. This full-time, day shift position (9:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Thur & 7:30 am - 3:30 pm Fri) starts at $26.00/hour and includes a $1,500 signing bonus for new hires. The role is crucial for keeping materials, customer orders, and finished products moving accurately and efficiently through the manufacturing operation, supporting the medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial manufacturing industries. It's a hands-on position for someone who enjoys organization, operating forklifts and material handling equipment, working independently, and taking ownership of shipments. The company is looking for individuals with dependable attendance, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. Personal mobile devices are secured during working hours and can only be accessed during scheduled breaks in designated areas due to customer and security requirements. In-person interviews are required in Minnesota; virtual interviews are not conducted. Applicants living outside Minnesota must have definite relocation plans.

Requirements

Ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities.
Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
Ability to complete shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation accurately.
Legible handwriting.
Ability to read an analog clock and tape measure.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as required to follow work instructions, safety requirements, and job-related documentation.
Dependable and punctual attendance.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability and willingness to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment after required training.
Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States, as required for certain customer and government-related work.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED.
Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory, logistics, or manufacturing experience.
Previous forklift experience or certification.
Experience with shipping software, ERP/MRP systems, or inventory management systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receive and process incoming customer and vendor shipments.
Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
Stage incoming customer work and materials for production.
Deliver scheduled work and materials to production departments.
Retrieve completed work from production and prepare it for shipment.
Package finished products carefully and accurately.
Prepare shipping documentation, certifications, labels, packing lists, and related paperwork.
Coordinate UPS, LTL, and other carrier shipments.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
Help ensure products and materials are properly identified, stored, and secured throughout the warehouse.
Communicate shipping or receiving issues promptly to the appropriate team members.
Maintain an organized and safe work area.
Follow company safety, quality, security, and operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
