About The Position

The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials throughout the warehouse. This role operates forklifts and other material handling equipment, maintains organized inventory locations, prepares shipments, and supports overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials.
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Ability to accurately count, verify, and track materials.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operating experience required.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stage materials.
  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately according to company procedures.
  • Accurately pick materials and components for production and shipment based on work orders.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging freight for carrier pickup.
  • Verify shipment contents and maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Organize warehouse inventory and maintain designated storage locations.
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of hardware, packaging materials, and warehouse supplies.
  • Provide shipment dimensions and weights to the Logistics team.
  • Maintain Bills of Lading, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
  • Keep warehouse, loading dock, storage areas, and outdoor material storage locations clean and organized.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and equipment operating requirements.
  • Assist other departments as needed to support production and shipping schedules.
