About The Position

The General Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for efficiently processing and managing warehouse shipments. The role oversees incoming and outgoing shipments, maintains inventory accuracy, and follows safe practices to support operational goals. The position is based in a warehouse with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels and requires physical stamina. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with availability for flexible hours, potential overtime, and weekends.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long hours and perform physical tasks for extended periods, including walking, bending, and potential lifting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a warehouse shipping and receiving role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting discrepancies or damages.
• Prepare outgoing shipments according to customer specifications and ensure proper labeling.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular counts and audits.
• Monitor material condition and report quality issues or damage to the supervisor.
• Complete shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and inventory logs.
• Follow safety regulations and guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Identify and resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies in collaboration with team members and supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support timely, efficient shipping and receiving operations.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support warehouse operations.
