About The Position

This role at Egg Central Station (ECS) is critical in bridging the gap from local family farms to grocery stores for our consumers. You’ll be on your feet during each twelve-hour shift, moving, lifting, loading and working with air-conditioned and sunlight-filled warehouse. The position operates on a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts. Day Crew works from 7am to 7pm and Night Crew works from 7pm to 7am. The pay rate for the Day Crew is $20.25 per hour, and the Night Crew receives $20.25 per hour plus a $3.00 shift differential.

Requirements

1 year of shipping and receiving experience
Certified to operate a forklift or pallet jack
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific instructions
Basic math skills
Must be able to speak, read and write in English for safety reasons
Able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch for extended periods of time
Good manual dexterity working with hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
Able to frequently lift and / or move up to 60 pounds
Able to work safely in an environment when exposed to wet conditions
Follow all personal safety and food safety requirements rigorously
Ensure work area is clean and free of any hazards
Other duties as required

Responsibilities

Receiving various orders, including eggs, paper goods, and materials using electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and scanners for efficiency
Loading trucks to ship orders to distribution centers and/or grocery retailers
Organizing the finished goods area to accommodate the FIFO method of goods
Using DSI scanning system to monitor movement of finished goods
Building pallets as needed for orders
Reading and understanding bill of ladings and sales orders to ensure efficient product movement
