About The Position

At AeroFlow Technologies, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interactions. Valley Metals, an AEROFLOW TECHNOLOGIES company, is searching for a Shipper/Receiving and Driver employee within our manufacturing team to help support our Aerospace business. This role supports operations in handling the accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of goods. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish is a plus
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in shipping and receiving
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in local delivery driving, warehouse operations

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy against packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Unload, label, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
  • Notify appropriate personnel of discrepancies or damages.
  • Prepare, pack, and label products for shipment according to customer specifications and shipping guidelines.
  • Create shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts in the inventory management system.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts to ensure accuracy and report variances.
  • Ensure all outgoing and incoming products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Report and address any non-conformance issues promptly.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete local scheduled pickups and deliveries between company sites, vendors, and customers.
