About The Position

As a Shipping PIT Operator, you will be responsible for the movement and storage of material within the distribution center utilizing a sit-down forklift and pacer. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, collaboration with the warehouse team, and maintaining a clean work environment. You may also assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of Warehouse organization procedures.
Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
Able to lift and move heavy merchandise items.
Minimum of 1 year of PIT experience operating a sit-down forklift and pacer within a warehouse environment.
Previous experience utilizing a warehouse scan gun.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in reading orders and accurate documentation.
Adherence to all safety requirements; utilizing a safety-first mindset.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, and replenish products.
Safely transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center using a sit-down forklift and pacer.
Maneuver equipment through narrow aisles and around obstacles.
Properly stack or shelve materials according to the storage plan or designated locations.
Adhere to safety protocols, including speed limits, load capacities, and pedestrian traffic guidelines.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct equipment inspections.
Notify management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures.
Collaborate with management and the warehouse team to maintain inventory levels and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Occasionally assist with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
