About The Position
The PIT Tech operates a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks into waste trailers trucks or storage facilities. This role is a good fit for individuals entering the workforce or returning with limited experience and education. Responsibilities
- Operates a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Moves materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks into waste trailers, trucks, or storage facilities.
- Transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
- Loads and unloads materials, including good/bad pallets.
- Moves pallets around the storage facility and stacks them in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
- Checks that loads are secure.
- Stacks empty pallets.
- Performs daily equipment checks, such as recharging the truck's battery.
