This position involves receiving materials, performing receiving inspections, and checking stock for damage or expiration. The role utilizes bar code wands, labeling equipment, laser scanning equipment, and computer terminals. Responsibilities include material handling, stock clerk activities, and ensuring safe movement of materials. All transactions must be processed in the applicable inventory management system. The role may require the use of Unit Level Logistics System - Ground (ULLS-G) or other Government furnished Standard Army Material Management Information Systems. Preparation of materials for shipment, including packaging and preservation, is essential. Materials are stored according to a master storage matrix, following care of supplies in storage procedures. The position ensures shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and loaded. Basic inspection/examination procedures for material are required, along with loading and unloading materials from skids and pallets. Basic report preparation is also a duty. The role involves operating approved tools and equipment, counting, weighing, recording data, and creating/applying tags/labels. This position can alternate between outdoor and indoor environments, potentially exposing employees to environmental hazards. Work involves a wide variety of supply items and may include inspecting and repairing all classes of supply, including ESAPI plates. Adherence to all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment, is mandatory. Housekeeping and maintenance duties are performed to ensure workspace upkeep. All other duties as assigned, requested, or related are also part of the responsibilities.
