About The Position

Canterbury is seeking a highly motivated Packer to support the Manufacturing team at our Richmond branch as a full-time, permanent member of the team. As a part of the Manufacturing team, you will be responsible for monitoring and packing products as they come off the manufacturing line while ensuring all quality standards are met. You will also be applying labels, confirming case counts, verifying output and remaining in compliance with all company SQF, HACCP, GMP and safety programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to lift up to 30 Lbs.
• Ability to stay active (standing, bending, kneeling, & lifting regularly) and productive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
• Knowledge of and experience with working with SQF, HACCP, GMP, or other safety programs
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality with a proven attendance record
• Communicating effectively
• Working under pressure
• Working in a team
• Meeting deadlines
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Following written and verbal instruction accurately
• Maintaining focus during repetitive tasks
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Nice To Haves

• Experience using a manual pallet jack is considered an asset
• Experience with bag sealing equipment or production/assembly lines involving packing, labeling, or inspecting is considered an asset
• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing is considered an asset
