About The Position

STEICO Industries is seeking a Shipping Operator for the AM Shift, which runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. As a Shipping Operator, you will be responsible for packing products and preparing them for delivery, as well as navigating customer websites and performing data entry. This role is crucial in ensuring that outgoing shipments are accurate, well-protected, and meet customer requirements.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written.
Requires ability to access facts and develop conclusions.
Ability to work Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience working in a manufacturing company.
Basic math skills to perform basic calculations such as addition and subtraction.
General understanding of Manufacturing with the ability to check and compare documents, measure parts for shipping, operate heat sealing and tape dispensing machines.

Responsibilities

Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Prepares items to remain free from damage in transit or storage by use of protective sleeves, wrapping, and padding.
Visually inspects outgoing product as the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system.
Input of data entry.
Coordinates with others in preparing outgoing shipments.
Accesses customer portals to determine shipping instructions.
Moves material to other areas of the factory.
Cleans and maintains work area as part of 5s program.
Maintains 5’s + Safety of department.
Serves as a backup driver for the department when needed.
Performs other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.
Works overtime as required.
