About The Position

As an AM Shift Shipping Operator, you will be responsible for packing products and preparing them for delivery. This role involves navigating customer websites for data entry and ensuring outgoing shipments are accurately recorded and prepared. You will be the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system by visually inspecting outgoing product. The position also requires moving materials within the factory, maintaining a clean work area as part of the 5s program, and serving as a backup driver when needed. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
One year of experience working in a manufacturing company
Basic math skills to perform basic calculations such as addition and subtraction
General understanding of Manufacturing with the ability to check and compare documents, measure parts for shipping, operate heat sealing and tape dispensing machines
Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, both verbally and written
Requires ability to access facts and develop conclusions
Ability to work Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities

Verifies and keeps records of outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Prepares items to remain free from damage in transit or storage by use of protective sleeves, wrapping, and padding.
Visually inspects outgoing product as the last line of defense in the company-wide quality system.
Input of data entry.
Coordinates with others in preparing outgoing shipments.
Accesses customer portals to determine shipping instructions.
Moves material to other areas of the factory.
Cleans and maintains work area as part of 5s program.
Maintains 5’s + Safety of department.
Serves as a backup driver for the department when needed.
Performs other reasonable duties as business and operational needs dictate.
Works overtime as required.
