About The Position

Jennie-O Turkey Store is seeking a self-motivated Shipping Operator for its Montevideo, Minnesota location. The role supports a fast-paced distribution environment by managing inventory, loading and receiving product, and helping keep operations moving smoothly. The position offers variety, responsibility, independent work, and training on equipment and procedures. The job also includes advancement opportunities into higher-level operator, lead, supervisory, and management roles.

Requirements

Be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions.
Be fluent in English and have good verbal and written communication skills.
Have computer skills, including email.
Be able to multitask and schedule the workday amid constant changes.
Be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
Be able to work in a refrigerated environment of 32–40 degrees.
Be able to acquire a forklift license and operate a forklift.
Be able to learn to operate a manual-transmission shag truck.
Be authorized to work in the United States for any employer and not require employer sponsorship for a work visa now or in the future.
Be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience.
Experience operating manual transmissions.
Ability to learn to back up a trailer or existing ability to do so.

Responsibilities

Pull product from the finished goods cooler and load it onto trucks.
Move trailers in the lot.
Update inventories.
Slot pallets.
Receive product.
Inventory coolers.
Coordinate shipping logistics, including contacting traffic to arrange trucks.
Run bills on the computer.
Work in the dry goods warehouse.
Dispense chemicals as needed.
Provide coverage for team members during scheduled PTO.
Perform general housekeeping.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
