About The Position
Must be able to communicate and work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to follow instructions (written and verbal), safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. Duties include loading and unloading trucks, receiving raw materials and products, and picking, packing, wrapping, labeling and or shipping products using forklift and pallet jack. Maintain receiving and shipping logs and make sure that incoming and outgoing product and material are in good condition. Move raw and packing materials to the production area using the FIFO standard. In addition, the worker maintains the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse. Workers are required to lift 50 pounds, walk, or stand for most of the shift. Hours will be 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and will cover vacation relief for AM and PM shift.
Requirements
- Must pass Forklift written test and driver test given by the company.
- CDL is required
- DOT Medical card
Nice To Haves
- Additional post- secondary education is preferred (Technical or vocational education) in areas of material handling, warehouse, distribution, packaging etc.
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment is preferred.
