About The Position

The Shipping Operator 2 works in a manufacturing environment and must communicate and work effectively as part of a team, follow written and verbal instructions, complete assigned duties safely and accurately, and maintain GMP standards. The role handles incoming materials and outgoing products, keeps shipping and receiving logs, and maintains warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety. The position works from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Must communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions and complete assigned duties safely and accurately while maintaining GMP standards.
• Must pass the company's forklift written test and driver test.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A CDL is required.
• Must be able to read, write, see, hear, communicate, add, subtract, and understand instructions.
• Must be able to lift approximately up to 100 pounds and meet the listed physical demands, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand and arm motions, back twisting, pushing, and pulling.

Nice To Haves

• Additional post-secondary technical or vocational education in material handling, warehouse, distribution, packaging, or related areas is preferred.
• Previous work experience in a manufacturing warehouse and/or distribution environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Receive materials and products, and ensure incoming and outgoing items are in good condition.
• Pick, pack, wrap, label, and ship products using a forklift and pallet jack.
• Maintain shipping and receiving logs.
• Move raw and packing materials to the production area using FIFO standards.
• Shag trucks.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
