About The Position

The Shipping Office Assistant is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and maintaining documentation and communication related to warehouse and transportation activities. This role supports efficient shipping operations by assisting drivers, organizing paperwork, and ensuring accurate system updates.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sofidel America's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards to maintain a safe, sanitary, and hygienically compliant work environment.
  • Create and manage work orders including assigning work orders, verifying order accuracy, releasing shipments in SAP, and preparing all related load documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute pick sheets for forklift drivers and communicate daily workload-including loads and staging requirements-to the main site.
  • Greet inbound and outbound drivers, direct them to the appropriate warehouse door, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate prior to departure.
  • Maintain documentation and workflow for the main site, including scanning documents to the F: Drive and filing paperwork in the proper filing systems.
  • Follow assigned tasks and priorities as directed by the supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to the warehouse and transportation teams as needed to support operational efficiency.
  • Utilize SAP, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel to complete daily tasks and maintain accurate records.
