About The Position

The Shipping Office Assistant is responsible for coordinating, communicating, and preparing documentation related to transportation and warehouse operations. This role supports daily shipping activities by ensuring accurate paperwork, effective communication with drivers and internal teams, and compliance with company procedures. Essential Functions Support Sofidel America’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP standards to promote a safe, sanitary, and hygienic work environment. Assign, review, and process work orders; create and ship all outbound loads in SAP; and prepare all required shipping documentation. Print and distribute pick sheets for forklift drivers and communicate daily work assignments, including load schedules and staging requirements for the main site. Greet inbound and outbound drivers; direct drivers to the appropriate warehouse doors for loading or unloading; and verify all paperwork for accuracy prior to driver departure. Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork flow for the main site, including scanning documents to the F: drive and filing physical paperwork in the appropriate filing locations. Perform assigned tasks and follow work direction as delegated by the supervisor. Provide general support to the warehouse and transportation teams as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Utilize SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, to complete daily responsibilities efficiently.
