About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Packing Assistant to support our CNC machine shop operations. This role is responsible for accurately packing and shipping high-mix, low-volume precision parts to customers while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate is organized, follows instructions carefully, counts accurately, and works well as part of a team.

Requirements

High attention to detail and strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Excellent counting accuracy and basic math skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs at once
Team-oriented mindset with a positive, cooperative attitude
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for non-CDL truck operation)
Ability to lift and move packages as required (reasonable accommodations available)
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in shipping/packing, manufacturing, or a machine shop environment
Familiarity with high-mix, low-volume production environments
Experience handling precision or machined parts

Responsibilities

Pack CNC-machined parts accurately according to work instructions, customer requirements, and shipping specifications
Prepare shipments for domestic and international customers, including proper labeling and documentation
Verify part quantities, part numbers, and job travelers to ensure shipment accuracy
Handle high-mix, low-volume products with care and attention to detail
Coordinate with production, quality, and shipping teams to meet delivery schedules
Maintain a clean and organized packing and shipping area
Periodically drive a non-CDL company truck for local deliveries or pickups as needed
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
