About The Position

The Shipping Material Handler is responsible for promptly scanning and loading trailers with pallets for customer orders and/or interplant shipments. The role involves preparing and verifying cases, scanning shipments, loading orders onto trailers, maintaining the flow and accurate count of goods, and handling empty pallets.

Requirements

• Basic arithmetic skills, including the ability to add and subtract.
• Ability to operate a handheld scanner.
• 0–3 months of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Stack cases on pallets or slipsheets and ensure cases are in good condition.
• Operate a handheld scanner.
• Scan cases to a pallet or slipsheet and to a trailer.
• Use equipment to load orders onto trailers.
• Maintain the flow of goods onto trailers.
• Attach labels and shipping documents.
• Maintain an accurate count of cases loaded.
• Calculate quantities and cases based on order requirements.
• May assist in keeping a row sheet to verify product loaded on a trailer.
• Remove empty pallets from locations as they accumulate.
