About The Position

The Shipping Material Handler works at the Ellenwood Warehouse in Ellenwood, Georgia, on the first shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role supports finished-product shipping and warehouse operations by operating a palletizer and sit-down forklift, moving and loading product, maintaining inventory and records, and following safety practices. Some weekends are mandatory, and some shifts require mandatory overtime.

Ability to effectively drive and operate a sit-down forklift.

Responsibilities

Operate the palletizer, apply straps to finished-product units, maintain product flow through the palletizer, and generate associated records.
Follow all safety rules and practices.
Maintain an accurate inventory of the finished-goods warehouse.
File change slips and white copies of finished HRMS factory work orders.
Keep accurate records of trailer locations and contents.
Safely use a lift truck as necessary and track forklift and clamp-truck inspections.
Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
Monitor conveyor take-off lines, remove units, and load them into trailers or place them in storage areas.
Check load tags and unit counts for accuracy.
Inspect finished units during loading to ensure they are free from handling damage and their straps are intact.
Maintain well-organized paperwork and clean, organized work areas, storage areas, and aisles.
Drive forklifts as directed to unload the line and move, store, and load units.
