About The Position

As a Shipping Material Handler at Atlas Tube a division of Zekelman Industries, Chicago, IL, you will play a key role in supporting shipping operations by safely moving, staging, and loading steel tube and pipe products. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment, values accuracy and organization, and is committed to maintaining safe material-handling practices.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory tracking.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment to move materials efficiently.
Pick, pack, and stage customer orders to ensure accurate and timely shipment.
Load finished product onto flatbed trailers or LTL carriers according to shipping specifications.
Receive and inspect inbound materials, reporting any damages or discrepancies.
Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory to maintain proper flow of materials.
Verify order accuracy using scanning tools and shipping documentation.
Maintain clean and organized staging and shipping areas.
Complete required shipping, inventory, and equipment inspection documentation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.
