About The Position

Operating an electric forklift to gather, move, deliver and store materials as needed. This role involves loading and unloading trailers, containers, and box trucks, ensuring products are properly packaged, banded, and wrapped for shipment. The handler will select, stage, and prepare items for shipment, verifying the accuracy of selected products against the Bill of Lading. Responsibilities also include maintaining warehouse cleanliness and adhering to all company and department safety requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a current forklift license or be able to obtain one.
• Must understand Inventory Process and Procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, BOL/BOM, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Speak audibly, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Nice To Haves

• 3-6 months of experience as a Material Handler preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers, containers and the box truck
• Ensure products are properly packaged, banded and wrapped for shipment
• Select, stage and prepare items for shipment
• Ensure accuracy of selected products, both in quantity and product code to Bill of Lading
• Frequently lifting boxes weighing between 10 -30 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Assist with pulling Grainger orders as required
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.
• Adhere to all company and department safety requirements
