About The Position

The Shipping Lot Material Handler is responsible for organizing, staging, and transporting finished goods and materials within the outdoor lot and shipping areas to ensure accurate and timely shipment to customers. This role supports shipping, inventory, and material handling processes while maintaining quality standards, workplace safety, and effective communication across departments.

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic in a team environment

Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

Organize, stage, and transport materials in a fast-paced outdoor and warehouse environment
Follow instructions and verify accuracy of shipments
Safely load, move, and handle materials and finished goods
Become forklift/stock chaser certified through Harper Industries
Safely operate equipment and tools, including saws and material handling equipment
Use company software for order processing and task completion
Assist with inventory processes including stocking and cycle counts
Identify defects or quality issues and communicate them appropriately
Maintain organization and cleanliness in indoor and outdoor work areas
Prioritize tasks and adapt in a time-sensitive environment
Communicate effectively, demonstrate reliability, and solve problems
