About The Position
The Shipping Loader reports to the Shipping Supervisor and is responsible for moving products from the staging area to delivery trucks. The role maintains accurate distribution of palletized customer orders and completes assigned work in time to meet dispatch schedules. The position is based at the GHRA Warehouse and Distribution Center in Houston, Texas, and is full-time on the third shift, Sunday through Thursday.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Certification on all equipment necessary to perform the duties.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and stand for 8 continuous hours, including on concrete or tile surfaces.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, balance, push, and pull while replenishing products.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks in the truck yard.
- Load products from the staging area onto delivery trucks.
- Assist the builder with moving pallets in the staging area.
- Confirm trucks are loaded accurately.
- Keep products in the staging area organized.
- Keep the floor and dock area clean.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain pertinent company assets.
- Complete work assignments to meet dispatch times.
