Shipping Lead (2nd Shift) - Kirkwood, NY
About The Position
Green Mountain Electric Supply is seeking a Full-Time Shipping Lead for their 2nd Shift at the Kirkwood, NY branch. This role involves assisting the Shipping Supervisor with daily tasks such as picking, checking, verifying orders, loading trucks, and putting stock away. The Shipping Lead will also be responsible for training new employees, acting as a liaison between staff and the supervisor, auditing orders for accuracy, and addressing any discrepancies. This position will assume department responsibilities in the supervisor's absence and lead warehouse maintenance efforts. The role also includes all essential duties of a Shipping Associate.

Responsibilities
- Training all new employees on basic job functions within the Shipping Department
- Serving as the first line of communication between staff and the Shipping Supervisor on any issues that need to be addressed
- Auditing other associates’ orders to verify accuracy and routing
- Addressing inaccuracies or errors when required
- Responding to and assisting other associates with inventory discrepancies, locating product or supplies, and inquiries
- Acting as the point of contact for and assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor/manager
- Leading other associates in basic warehouse maintenance including cleaning and restocking inventory and supplies
- Performing all essential duties and responsibilities of the Shipping Associate position
