About The Position

Mainstream Engineering is seeking a responsible individual to handle activities relating to the shipment and delivery of finished goods and other materials. Typical duties include: Assembling and packaging product orders for shipment Ensuring shipments are scheduled and delivered in a timely manner Recording all data relevant to shipments and interfacing with shipping and accounting software Maintaining shipping documents and data in organized manner Evaluating problems and making recommendations for possible corrective action Supporting Receiving and Inventory as needed including physical movement of raw materials and finished goods Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 2+ years of Shipping experience is required
  • Experience with UPS or FedEx shipping software required
  • Experience with LTL shipments required
  • Dangerous Goods Shipping Certification DOT/IATA/IMDG preferred
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written English
  • Knowledge of commonly used shipping, receiving and logistics concepts, practices and procedures used in both domestic and international freight shipments
  • Excellent organization skills are required
  • Good analytical skills are preferred
  • Working knowledge of Sage 100 is preferred
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with shipping hazardous materials helpful
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Nice To Haves
