About The Position

This role will report to the Branch Manager, support the Inventory Support Associate and Shipping team on multiple levels, and will often be the final contact a customer will have. The Shipping Lead will view/print inbound orders from the Customer Service team and will then be responsible for order workflow until the order is sent to accounting for invoicing.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
2+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows experience is required

Nice To Haves

Salesforce or other CRM systems experience preferred
Experience with an ERP such as M2M, Oracle, or SAP is preferred

Responsibilities

Manage an Outlook account for a high-volume shipping department (up to 200 emails per day)
Analyze and respond to requests from both internal and external customers
Print sales orders
Review orders for potential errors
Proactively provide freight quotes based on product mix
Determine appropriate course of action for an order based on its content and product mix
Categorize each email based on course of action taken
Prepare and document daily paperwork
Review completed sales orders and submit to accounting department
File completed sales orders/paperwork
Audit unshipped orders and determine appropriate action based on the results
Communicate with customers through email and phone, and properly document the interaction in Salesforce
Pick and pack orders
Document the shipment process
Assist in inventory counts
