About The Position

This role will report to the Branch Manager, support the Inventory Support Associate and Shipping team on multiple levels, and will often be the final contact a customer will have. The Shipping Lead will view/print inbound orders from the Customer Service team and will then be responsible for order workflow until the order is sent to accounting for invoicing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows experience is required

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce or other CRM systems experience preferred
  • Experience with an ERP such as M2M, Oracle, or SAP is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage an Outlook account for a high-volume shipping department (up to 200 emails per day)
  • Analyze and respond to requests from both internal and external customers
  • Print sales orders
  • Review orders for potential errors
  • Proactively provide freight quotes based on product mix
  • Determine appropriate course of action for an order based on its content and product mix
  • Categorize each email based on course of action taken
  • Prepare and document daily paperwork
  • Review completed sales orders and submit to accounting department
  • File completed sales orders/paperwork
  • Audit unshipped orders and determine appropriate action based on the results
  • Communicate with customers through email and phone, and properly document the interaction in Salesforce
  • Pick and pack orders
  • Document the shipment process
  • Assist in inventory counts
