About The Position

The Shipping Team Lead is responsible for coordinating workflow, leading a team of shipping associates, ensuring on-time customer deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to operational excellence and employee development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or RF scanning technology.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in a high-volume distribution center.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Distribution, or Continuous Improvement principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily shipping operations to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
  • Coordinate work assignments and staffing to meet productivity and service goals.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and training to shipping associates.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet changing business demands.
  • Ensure compliance with Eaton safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety observations and promote a culture of safe work practices.
  • Partner with supervisors and other department leaders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation and system transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory issues, and customer service concerns.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, on-time shipping, and safety metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Participate in employee performance discussions and recognition activities.
