About The Position

This role involves leading and coordinating daily shipping activities for both domestic and international orders. The Shipping Lead will be responsible for preparing and processing shipments primarily via UPS and FedEx, ensuring all shipments meet specific packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements. The position requires managing multiple shipments with varying priorities, verifying shipping documentation accuracy, and ensuring parts are packaged to maintain quality, security, and compliance during transit. The lead will also monitor shipment schedules, proactively address delays, train team members, maintain organized records, and coordinate with various internal teams to support on-time delivery. Adherence to company procedures, safety standards, shipping regulations, and maintaining an organized work area are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of shipping experience, including international shipping (required)
  • Proven experience shipping via UPS and FedEx, including international services
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs requirements, and international shipping compliance
  • Experience handling multiple, high volume shipments in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to understand and execute detailed customer packaging and labeling specifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to lift and move shipping materials and packages as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Familiarity with shipping software and ERP systems
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Understanding of quality and security standards for shipped products
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Forklift Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily shipping activities for domestic and international orders
  • Prepare and process shipments primarily via UPS and FedEx, including ground, air, and international services
  • Ensure all shipments meet customer specific packaging, labeling, and documentation requirements
  • Manage multiple shipments throughout the day with varying quantities, sizes, and delivery priorities
  • Verify accuracy of shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork
  • Ensure parts are packaged to maintain quality, security, and compliance during transit
  • Monitor shipment schedules and proactively address delays or issues to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Train and guide shipping team members on proper procedures, safety, and quality standards
  • Maintain organized shipping records and support inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with production, quality, customer service, and logistics teams to support on time delivery
  • Follow all company procedures, safety standards, and shipping regulations, including international export requirements
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
