About The Position

This position is responsible for various shipping and receiving duties, including operating specialized equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The role involves working in extreme temperatures and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. The Shipping Floater will also collaborate with other departments and external inspectors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Must demonstrate good communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist, up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to work with limited supervision.
  • Must have basic computer literacy.
  • Must meet the physical abilities evaluation requirements for this position.
  • Must successfully complete all required training including Yard Dog, Genie scissor lift, Power Jack/Forklift, and Hazard communication training courses.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.
  • Applicants must have the legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • We are unable to provide or assume work sponsorship of employment visas.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the Yard Dog to hook, move, and back trailers into the docks and confined areas of the property.
  • Safely operate the Genie scissor lift more than 30ft to clear obstructed lanes and remove frost build up in the warehouse.
  • Accurately pick, stage, and load orders in SAP.
  • Transfer product to and from storage.
  • Learn all freezer layouts.
  • Maintain lanes in Storage freezers for maximum capacity and efficiency.
  • Communicate with Production, R&D, Q.A, and Transportation.
  • Maintain clean docks, freezers, office, and storage areas.
  • Work with the onsite USDA inspector to get all export orders stamped and inspected in a timely manner.
  • Accurately record department inspections/maintenance.
  • Work well within the team.
  • Load outbound as well as unload inbound trailers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
